Somemore all is that fug tug lecturer never teached properly, i go check net den realised why am i wron even tou i use the formula given in the lec notes. That lecturer din even bother to explain to u how to use that formula "correctly" he jus cut and pasted the formula inside and said that it is used to calculate capillary rise. Den wen i applied this formula on surface tension inside the 1st mcqs turned out the most impt factor of capillary rise depends on whether the water can wet the surface of the tube anot and not bcos of the surface tension. If the water cant wet the surface of the tube (eg. plastic tube) the water got how much surface tension oso will not result in capillary rise.
Another thing, today den i realised how bad is coca-cola bad for ur health. I decided to stop drinking it even tou it is my fav. drink. Its pH is acidic enough to dissolve the enamal of your teeth!! Furthermore, the sugar coated on your pit on the teeth will allow the bacteria to metabolise it using lactic acid thus dissolving your enamal too. Wen the pH is low, your enamal which consisted of HAP crystals will de-mineralised into ions such as Ca ions. If these acid is not removed any hours from then, i tink ur enamal is getting thinner and thinner. Las ting, do you know drinking coca cola actually makes u uses more energy to make your body function? As in ur body gets more tired easily and gets fatter in a way. Extra, it is suggested that a chemical in coke actually caused gall stones..

Heh. My sis suggested to play this game and turned out to b im a total noob in tis game. =.="Starting we oni lvl 1 and we went straight to "free" arena where there are alot of "pros" inside. Wah.. 8-9 keynotes popped out straight and the rhythm so fast until i cant even finished clicking all the keynotes and missed ler. All the way miss from start till end. Only those 1-2 keynotes we managed to click. Those lvl 10 de dancers ar.. *thumbs up* How can they type so fast sia? Dun say lvl 10 de even those lvl 5 de already can type in the correct notes very fast ler.. OMG!! My fingers cant even control properly lor wen the keynotes appeared. Haiz.. Mi old liao. Mayb my sis wen train harder still can make it i tink mi is gone case in audition.
Today i create my own character to play and managed to get 1st. ^^

i noe the score very lousy la.. But hor.. duno how to play mah.

Particle Bombardment of Plant Transformation
A plant cell is different from an animal cell. It has a cell wall which makes it even more difficult for us to insert our constructed transgene into the cell. However, we can remove the cell wall from the plant cells using certain enzymes and the plant cell without a cell wall is called a protoplast. But, it is very difficult to maintain a protoplast in an isotonic solution as the solution has to be changed at a regular interval if not the protoplast will die. Another big difference from animal cell is that all plant cells are pluripotent that is the plant cell can differentiate into different parts of the plant whereas in animal cell not all of them have such a potential. A plant cell may be already differentiated at a certain stage of life but with ajustment in environmental factors, the plant cell can be undifferentiated, thus become pluripotent again.
The only animal cell which is pluripotent is our embroynic stem cell. That's why embroynic stem cells is so impt in research for cure of human diseases.
Outsider may have the mentality that we can clone ourselves so that we may be able to use their organs as ours when we suffered organ failure. That is totally wrong. Why? How sure are you that it is not our clones taking our own organs to save themselves when they suffered organ failure themselves?
Back to plant transformation. I will be talking the 2 methods used in our Biotechnology Practical 2 for Particle Bombardment on plants.
1st method is the Helios Gene Gun.
2nd is the Biolistic PDS 1000.
Both use small Gold (999 de gold okay..) microcarriers (microscopic gold pellets) which are coated with our DNA transgenes. We make use of hyperpressure to fire these gold microcarriers into the plant tissue, hopefully that the gold will remained inside to allow plant transformation. Transcient expression can be observed after a few days whereas a stable genetic line is mostly obtained by the Biolistic PDS 1000.
Helios Gene Gun
It is a compact hand-held "hair-dryer look alike" equip. It looks like a gun hold by the aliens in Mars Attack to me. It is easy to use in outfield but the success rate is low. When i heard the TA said "outfield", i told the rest, if we bring this to outfield, i think all the soldiers will shoot us cos we are goin to transform them using this gun. LoLx!! Btw, our DNA transgene allows the cells to give a blue color substrate when it digests X-Gluc. So the plant will express blue dots if the expt had succeeded.
Now imagine if i use this gene gun to shoot u and throw u into a pool of X-Gluc. U will come out a "Blue Dots" alien!! In theory, this is feasible but in practical this is not. It seems that animal cells will be destroyed by the pressure of the gene gun instead. So lucky u.. I mean U!! U noe who U are!! Ya!! U.

Biolistic PDS 1000
This is a larger equip which is really quite big. Dun ever tink of bringing it out to the field. The differences between a Biolistic PDS 1000 and a Gene gun are the gold microcarriers used are bigger ($_$), it is conducted under vaccum, the pressure used is higher and the transforming rate is higher with more stable genetic line obtained.
Actually this is the part of the practical which is more fun and there's more hands on. We actually had to load the compartments which had the Gold microcarriers/DNA transgene on the flying disk first so that it will dry up b4 we load it into the PDS. So every group (2 ppl) had 1 ppl doing and my grp is the last. So i asked my lab partner who go and load the tingy. She replied "wo men yi qi load." Den everyone laughed and someone sang the "xiao fu qi" song. I regretted asking tis question.. In the end we 2 loaded the ting together, but was more like i do lo. After that, we were taught how to use that machine, need to remember the steps such as vaccumming the inside chamber, increase the pressure slowly until the rupture disk broke off due to the pressure met. Very easy to handle la i must say.
So that's all for that practical. Oh ya.. Niu Mei!! My lab partner looks like you when we first met!! LoLx!! I tot how come u can so fast come study in NUS.
ps: my TA (duno from where one like arabic or indian la, dun even noe wad is he babbling about lo..) cannot make it leh.. I ask him what's the difference between indeterminate organ and determinate organ, he can only "har har har??" I spell out to him he still blur blur. Den my lab partner oso asked him someting about the haploid plants does it mean that it only consist of 1n chromosomes? Wah.. he gave up and said "im not good in plants biology." Arbish!!
Haploid plants are plants which are grown using only a set of parent chromosome (either mother or father). Eg. A normal embryo consists of 2 sets (2n) of chromosomes, one from the father (sperm 1n) and one from the mother (egg 1n). Its the same for plants. However, we are able to use only 1 set of chromosome to create a full grown plant. I duno the exact mechanism, maybe they replicate 1 more set of chromosome from the one we have at first. However, such plants appeared smaller compared to the normal plants. That's y i tink my lab partner is trying to ask why is it smaller den normal? Is it bcos it is only 1n? Too bad.. the TA duno. Den we 2 tou tou xiao wen we turned away from the TA. LoLx!! We very bad hor.. xD

My fren intro me tis blogsite, i go in straight tio a porn pop-up. Wah.. sian 1/2.
Wen i tot it is jus a stupid spyware, it turned out to be a VIRUS!! I tried to used ad-aware to remove the ting cos i tot it is a spyware. And indeed it did not reappear again. But after 1 day, wah.. come back again. ZzzzzZzz.. Somemore alot sia!! Den kip get porn pop-ups and even i surf website there will be a porn banner at the top of the brower. =.=" After CNY.. Tis program cannot work that program cannot work. WTF!!
So no choice need to reformat the whole pc.. My desktop whose name is Trix is officially dead. Now i rename tis pc as Mandy, the name of my ex. Duno y i go put her name. LoLx!! The lucky thing is that my D drive docs are still around. It has all my lecture notes, assignments and lab reports inside. If gone, i sure cry ~
Hopefully now everything is back to normal and that virus will not come back to haunt me anymore. Gonna install a free anti-virus software jus in case. Very wwaste time sia den everyting gone. $@##%@^@&#$!!

Ok.. I got a Ca on Cancer on Valentine Day. Wow.. Wad a special present to have on a romantic day.Anyway.. after days and days of memorising of all those disgusting names of the oncogenes and tumour suppressors, im finali felt relieved after the test is over. It's worth 30% of our overall grade. OMG.. And there are only 35 ppl taking this module. I seriously hope that im not the 35th.. But even if im the 35th i guess im still not that sad since i actualli memorised the 11 lecture notes on cancer. So even if the result is poor i can only say that the competition is high.
Surprisingly, on my way home, i received Jenny's sms! She's back from taiwan to celebrate CNY. And she's celebrating valentine with mi ^^ So im not that lonely during valentine day la.. LoLx!! Anyway, we oso didn't do much on tat day. Went to jp walk walk see see, i bought her a plushie toy (cheap skate one xD) as a valentine present while she treat me a "valentine dinner". Okay.. the valentine dinner was jus a meal at Mac. After that, i tonged at her house jus like old times. Not so happening or romantic hor.. Adhoc one leh. U tink wad ar?
Anyway, im so happy that im actually cuttin down weight again after i had resumed my 4.5km run since 2 weeks ago. I actually cannot wear alot of old clothes b4 that. My clothes are all S size. After 2 weeks, i finally see some great results. Happy happy, i so scare that i become fat again and i even jog on the spot in my room for 30mins if it is raining outside. LoLx!!
Anyway, during one of my run, i actuali almos got killed. Life is so ironic. The construction workers were fixing the pathway along the road so that ppl will be able to walk safely right? But while they were fixing the pathway, it actually posed as a hazard to the joggers. I was actuali trying to clear the path for a mother and her son on the pathway which the workers were fixing the route. My leg got hit by someting and i lost my balance. I was too near to the road and at that point of time, 1 car was actualli rushing towards mi. If i fell on the road, i tink im gone ==" Luckily, i managed to use my remaining strength to stretch my legs to get back on track towards the pathway. But my left leg muscle got over stretched in the process. Life is so full of irony..

There's so many high levels with share accounts in MapleSEA, even if it does violate the terms and conditions so what? The company also never do anything. If you want to complain about that, complain to that company.

Rule is still a rule.. You are wrong. A rule without the power to uphold is nothing to everyone. Only the one with power are able to ensure that the rules are being upholded whether ingame or r/l. This company obviously dun have the power to ensure that most of their rules are being followed or they just dunwan to show that power in this situation. So what power do u have to ensure that she follows the rule or maybe ensure that the company keeps to their rules?

My main point, y blow up such a small matter to the extent of accountability? Now even the one who is not controlling the character in game is not spared. KSes occur everyday, maybe every minute. Its the life of MS.

i agree with the point where "finding the right person to flame" it is true,that i am no one to ensure that she follows the rule,cause, i am not actually ensuring it, i am only stating the fact that rules are rules,and sharing account violates the rule...that is all i am pointing out at the first place.

But it will be nicer if u can give suggestions on what she can do instead of just giving facts.

My question: She had already apologized since she decided to take all responsibilities. But you are not asking her to apologize nor get her fren into trouble. So what do you suggest for her to do in order to hold responsibility? Keep quiet? Jump down from building? Continue let people flame her?
Lastly, i am only stating the fact that rules are rules only when they are being upholded by the one with power. If not, rules are just black and whites words which are nothing but thrashes. Somemore for an online game which is not real.

Btw, there are rules and laws for detering crime. And the power comes from the governments. For the "sharing account rule" in game, the company states it as a rule but they did not use their power to ensure that no one violates that rule. So according to the definition of rule, that rule is thrash.

7th paragraph - Why should she sealed it when it is a shared account? That account is not entirely hers for now. If everything in r/l as simple as that to settle, i think we will be living in Utopia.
She had apologized and stated that she had quitted that account. Do u fail to understand the importance of human emotions? Right now, she has nothing to do with this ks war physically. U all are directing all the flames to her as the only source to vent your anger on as u all cannot locate the one who is responsible.

If u want to find a solution, go do it yourself physically. Foruming and ranting here is easy but actions will be difficult. Talk alot but no action done is = back to square 1. You can suggest alot which u think maybe applicable but in actual fact is not practical to the others. So whether the party want to take in your preaching depends on the party.

Today in molecular basics of human disease lecture so funny. Cos yesterday, Ryan told mi theres a chiobu in our lecture class. Btw, our lecture class oni have 35 ppl =.=
